Η έμπνευση της ημέρας (Δευτέρα 10-9-2018)

Καλημέρα και καλή εβδομάδα! Σήμερα η έμπνευση της ημέρας είναι αφιερωμένη στο άλμπουμ “Revolver”, των Beatles, που τέτοια μέρα το 1966 σκαρφάλωσε στην κορυφή του Billboard 200!

Πρόκειται για το έβδομο άλμπουμ του συγκροτήματος που κυκλοφόρησε στις 5 Αυγούστου του 1966. Το Rolling Stone Magazine τοποθέτησε το “Revolver” στην τρίτη θέση στην λίστα με τα 500 καλύτερα άλμπουμ στην ιστορία της μουσικής, ενώ τοποθετήθηκε πρώτο στο All Time Top 1000 Albums του Κόλιν Λάρκιν.

Ένας αρκετά πρωτοποριακός στο άκουσμα δίσκος, η κυκλοφορία του οποίου ήταν λίγο πριν την τελευταία περιοδεία του συγκροτήματος, κατά τη διάρκεια της οποίας δεν έπαιξαν κανένα από τα τραγούδια του άλμπουμ λόγω της δυσκολίας που είχαν να παιχτούν με φυσικά όργανα.

Ο δίσκος ανέβηκε στην κορυφή των καταλόγων επιτυχιών και στις δύο πλευρές του Ατλαντικού, παραμένοντας στο βρετανικό #1 για επτά εβδομάδες και άλλες έξι εβδομάδες στις Ηνωμένες Πολιτείες, όπου έχει βραβευθεί ως πενταπλά πλατινένιος.
